About the ASBIF 2026

The theme of ASBIF this year is “The Nexus of Business Sustainability, Innovation, and AI.” It highlights the growing intersection between sustainability strategy, technological innovation, and responsible business practices and encourages contributions that examine how organizations can integrate ESG priorities with emerging technologies to drive long-term value creation. Through keynote sessions, paper presentations, and academic exchange, the conference aims to strengthen regional and international collaboration while advancing research that is relevant to both scholarship and practice. We welcome papers related to business sustainability (Track A) and business innovation and AI (Track B). In addition, a Best Paper Award for each track will be recognized during the Forum. A Special Issue of the Journal Asian Journal of Accounting Research (AJAR; Scopus Q1) will be organized for ASBIF. Special Issue announcement and submission guidelines will be available soon on the journal’s website.

Why Indonesia

According to a report by US Department of State, Indonesia is a top destination for international investment due to its robust economic growth (consistently around 5%), massive, young population, and strategic location in Southeast Asia. Investors are drawn by rich natural resources, rapid digital transformation, significant infrastructure development, and regulatory reforms that have streamlined business processes. In addition, a report by Global Finance states that “Indonesia is attracting foreign investors with its growing middle class, young demographics, and abundant resources… Traditionally dependent on hydrocarbons and minerals, Indonesia’s digital economy is now booming thanks to high internet penetration and a tech-savvy population. The country’s tropical climate and enormous geothermal resources also offer compelling opportunities for early investors in carbon-free energy.” Source: https://gfmag.com/emerging-frontier-markets/indonesia-economy-growing/.  For more details of the Forum, please visit  https://cesgs.unair.ac.id/asbif2026/.
