Establishing ASERCC

We are pleased to announce that the Asia Sustainability and ESG Research Centre Consortium (ASERCC), was officially established at the Asia Sustainability and ESG Summit on August 19, 2023. Prof. Louis Cheng and Mr. Hauman Yeung were nominated as the Chairman and the Vice-chairman, respectively, for the first two years.

Why do we have ASERCC?

The core value of ASERCC is anchored at promoting sustainability/ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration among our stakeholders. ASERCC is dedicated to inspiring industry practitioners and entrepreneurs; to nurturing academics and students; and to enhancing leaders and professionals who manage relevant organizations to advocate ESG education. Our channels of promoting these missions include hosting conferences, seminars, and impactful ESG events.

The Consortium is committed to make efforts to integrate academic research and industry practices to foster knowledge transfer related to the latest sustainability/ ESG concepts, raising the professional standards in Hong Kong and Asia by implementing the following measures:

  • Sharing sustainability/ ESG research and the latest development in ESG data
  • Sharing experience in providing sustainability/ ESG training programs
  • Providing a platform to promote sustainability/ ESG services among stakeholders

Membership of ASERCC

The Consortium has two types of members, Founding Institutional Members (FIM) and Institutional Members (IM). The main criterion to become a member is the willingness to promote ESG projects at our events such as the ESG summit. The key expectation for being a FIM is to take the lead in showcasing ESG/ sustainability projects in our Summits. The inclusion of the founding members is a way to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts and contributions of the institutions that have played a significant role in ensuring the success of our Summits.

The current confirmed list of FIMs is:
